Physical Optics Spins Off Broadata Communications

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 1 -- Physical Optics Corp. has spun-off of its fiber optic communications products group and named it Broadata Communications Inc. (BCI).
We have extensive research and development programs in various optical and optoelectronic technologies continuously in the works at POC, said Joanna Jannson, chairman and CEO of Physical Optics. Now in order to focus on commercialization efforts, we are forming BCI. Our objective with the spin-off is to create a highly focused, leading-edge fiber optic communications company to develop and expand our campus enterprise and network service provider products.
