MOEC Raises $20 Million in Venture Capital Funding

WATERVLIET, N.Y., Jan. 26 -- Optical components manufacturer, Molecular OptoElectronics Corp. (MOEC), announced the completion of $20 million in second-round financing. The round was led by Lehman Brothers Venture Partners and also included commitments from Epoch Partners as well as first-round investor Intel Capital. The new funding will be used to strengthen MOEC'sproduct manufacturing, research and development, sales and marketing and customer, partner and alliance efforts, the company said.
