Agilent Acquires OSI for $665 Million

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 27 -- Agilent Technologies, a maker of test and measurement equipment, has agreed to purchase Objective Systems Integrators Inc., a provider of operations-support-system (OSS) software based in Folsom, Calif. A wholly owned subsidiary of Agilent's will pay $17.75 for each share of Objective Systems, for a total of about $665 million.
With the use of Objective Systems' software, Agilent will enhance its solution portfolio with key technologies and industry expertise, and will add to its customer base and industry presence, said Agilent.
