SpectraScience Gets European Approval for Laser Biopsy System

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 12 -- SpectraScience Inc.'s noninvasive biopsy system has been approved by the European regulatory authorities for commercial use in the European Union. The system lets doctors who perform endoscopy of the colon use a laser to optically scan the patient's tissue - providing an instant diagnosis of the tissue without having to physically remove samples from the body.
