Alliance Fiber Optic Products Files IPO

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept 11 -- Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. has filed for an initial public offering. Alliance seeks to collect close to $86 million through the stock offering.The net proceeds of the IPO will be used for corporate purposes such as working capital and capital expenditures, as well as payment of a $.7 million debt, the company said. The company also indicated the possibility of making an acquisition with the proceeds. Alliance Fiber Optic Products produces fiber optic components such as interconnect systems, couplers and splitters for communications equipment manufacturers.
