Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger Retires: People in the News: 12/4/24

Intel’s CEO Pat Gelsinger has retired from his position and stepped down from the board of directors. The board has formed a search committee to find a successor and has named executive vice president and CFO David Zinsner and CEO of Intel Products Michelle Johnston Holthaus as co-CEOs in the interim. Gelsinger’s career at Intel spanned over 40 years.

FREMONT, Calif. — The OIF Forum’s members have elected the 2024-2025 board of directors and officers. Mike Klempa of Alphawave Semi and David Stauffer of Kandou Bus have been elected to the board with Ian Betty of Ciena, Mike Li of Intel, and Cathy Liu of Broadcom being reelected. Nathan Tracy of TE Connectivity will continue to serve as president, Jeff Hutchins of Ranovus will serve as secretary and treasurer, and Dave Brown of Nokia will continue to serve as director of communications. Sam Kocsis of Amphenol Corporation was elected technical committee vice chair, Karl Bois of Nvidia was reelected technical committee chair, and Tom Issenhuth of Huawei Technologies was reelected as market awareness and education committee co-chair.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Platform provider of precision blazed diffraction gratings Inprentus has appointed Jeff MacDonald as interim CEO, Subha Kumar as COO, and Cody Jensen as chief engineering officer. MacDonald has previous experience in private equity investing at Credit Suisse and The Carlyle Group. Kumar has been with Inprentus since 2016, originally serving as a research scientist. Jensen also started his tenure at Inprentus as a research scientist in 2014.

SINGAPORE — ASMPT Ltd, a provider of integrated hardware and software solutions for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, has promoted Katie Xu Yifan to the role of executive vice president. She will also retain the role of group CFO. Yifan first joined ASMPT as senior vice president and group CFO in May 2022 with previous experience as CFO of global shared services at ADP and vice president and CFO at Honeywell.
