Eikon Therapeutics Appoints COO: People in the News: 11/27/24

Eikon Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology company, has appointed Michael A. Klobuchar as COO. He joins Eikon from Merck & Co. Inc. where he most recently served as executive vice president and chief strategy officer.

FREMONT, Calif. — Members of the OIF forum have elected Mike Klempa as the physical and link layer interoperability working group chair and Jeffery Maki as the physical layer user group working group chair. Klempa currently serves as a staff product marketing manager for Alphawave Semi and Maki has been distinguished engineer II for Juniper Networks since 2007.

COLUMBIA, Md. — Test & measurement company Rohde & Schwarz has appointed Markus Fischer as its president and COO. Fischer joined Rohde & Schwarz in 2011 as head of corporate material sourcing at its Munich headquarters and most recently served as the company’s executive vice president of operations.

MUMBAI, India — STL, an optical and digital solutions company, has promoted Rahul Puri to CEO of its optical networking business. He has 24 years of global cross-functional expertise in business development, sales, marketing, operations, and product management. Puri held the role of vice president and general manager of EMEIA & APAC previous to the promotion.

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — Laser uranium enrichment company LIS Technologies has appointed Viktor Chikan as co-CTO along with current CTO Jeff W. Eerkens. Chikan was the group lead and function owner of the droplet generator team in the EUV research section of ASML in San Diego between 2022 and 2024 and was professor at Kansas State University from 2005 to 2022.

HEERBURG, Switzerland — ESCATEC, an electronics manufacturing services provider, has appointed Steven Waterston as a director of business development, effective immediately. Waterston brings 24 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing services industry and 14 years in semiconductor manufacturing. Waterston was most recently senior director of business development at flex within their industrial business unit.

DAYTON, Ohio — Architecture, engineering, geospatial (AEG), and strategic consulting firm Woolpert has added Amar Nayegandhi as global head of technology and innovation to help support the firm's international growth strategy. Nayegandhi is an American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Fellow with over 25 years of technology services experience and leadership in the AEG industry. Before joining Woolpert, Nayegandhi served as senior vice president at Dewberry.

TEL AVIV, Israel — Optical coatings company flo Optics has appointed Guy Menchik as vice president of its incubation lab. Before joining flo, Menchik served as CTO and previously vice president of R&D at Stratasys.
