Vishay Precision Acquires Laser-Based Measurement Solution Developer Nokra
Vishay Precision Group, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of specialized sensors, weighing solutions, and measurement systems, has acquired Nokra Optische Prueftechnik & Automation GmbH. Nokra, headquartered in Germany, is a designer and developer of measuring and testing equipment for manufacturing. Nokra’s laser-based measurement gauge systems are used to measure the thickness, flatness, contour, width, or 3D profile of various metals depending on the application, in both inline and offline production.
According to Vishay Precision, Nokra’s portfolio will expand upon its existing KELK inspection and measurement products for metal processing. KELK, based in Toronto and also known as Vishay Precision Group Canada ULC, specializes in the design and manufacture of electronic measurement equipment used mainly in steel and aluminum rolling mills and mining applications.
