Three companies — ProPhotonix, Advanced Illumination, and Z-Laser, already operate under the Exaktera umbrella. The holding company, founded in 2021, is dedicated to machine vision, photonic components, and subsystems and solutions. The acquisition of iiM expands Exaktera’s reach into Europe, while adding LED technologies and application expertise to its portfolio.
"This acquisition represents a significant step in our strategy to build Exaktera into the global leading manufacturer of specialty lighting components and solutions for machine vision applications,” said Cindy Ye, CEO of Exaktera.
iiM will continue to be led by Heiko Freund, Peter Anacker, and Axel Müller, who will all serve as managing directors of the company.
