InZiv Appoints Vice President of R&D: People in the News: 9/25/24

Hamamatsu Photonics’s board of directors has made nominations for the company’s directors and audit and supervisory board members, as well as executive officers. Three directors and two audit and supervisory board members have been appointed along with five executive officers. This comes with the retirement of three current directors and two audit and supervisory board members as well as the promotion of four executive officers. New directors include Ken Nozaki, Naofumi Toriyama, and Takaaki Kimura; new audit and supervisory board members include Shoji Nakano and Seidai Hirai; and new executive officers include Hiroshige Takada, Takashi Ogasawara, Kazuo Ueno, Toshimichi Ishizuka, and Naoki Uchiyama.

JERUSALEM — InZiv, a display inspection developer, appointed Tali Hurvitz vice president of development of R&D. Previous to her appointment, Tali was head of the physics, materials, and innovation group at semiconductor manufacturer KLA.

BOSTON — Neutral-atom quantum computing company QuEra Computing named Ed Durkin CFO. Durkin joins QuEra from Casa Systems, where he served as CFO. He also served as CFO at Fuze, a unified communications company, and at Actifio, a data management company acquired by Google.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Flow cytometry systems developer Accellix, Inc. appointed Greg Hamilton CEO and member of the board. In conjunction with the appointment, Accellix’s former CEO, Nir Mimrodi, will remain chairman of the board. Hamilton brings over 25 years of management experience in molecular diagnostics, life science tools, manufacturing, and professional service industries. Prior to joining Accellix, he was CEO and board member of io9 Inc.

BOLLÈNE, France — Egide Group, a provider of hermetic packages and heat dissipation solutions for sensitive electronic components, appointed David Hien CEO, replacing Philippe Bringuier, who will remain the company’s CFO. Hein joined Egide Group in April 2021 as technical director, holding roles throughout his tenure such as sales director, managing director, and board member.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Laser cleaning and materials processing systems developer Laser Photonics Corporation appointed Robert Hoffman outside sales director. Prior to joining Laser Photonics, Hoffman served as the southeast regional sales manager for Keyence as well as project manager at Easy Imex.
