Exyn Technologies, Stitch3D Partner to Expand SLAM Accessibility
Exyn Technologies, a multi-platform robotic autonomy company, has entered into a partnership with Stitch3D, a provider of modern cloud solutions. The collaboration was made in an effort to expand the accessibility of portable simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)-based lidar capture devices by allowing multi-feature point cloud data to be broadly shared and acted upon.
Per the partnership, Stitch3D will leverage its point cloud management and collaboration software to expand the reach of Exyn’s mapping technology. Called Exyn Nexys, the technology is a modular 3D mapping solution designed to reduce time to capture in environments such as mining, logistics, construction, and infrastructure inspection. After uploading a Nexys data set into Stitch3D, operators will be able to perform volumetric calculations, generate digital elevation models, automatically classify ground points, or annotate areas of interest for project management, according to the companies.
