W3+ Fair Returns for Second Iteration in Jena

The W3+ Fair is set to return to the Sparkassen-Arena in Jena, Germany, on September 25 and 26. The trade fair for photonics, optics, electronics, and mechanics will allow visitors to find the latest technologies, talents, and up-to-date knowledge transfer across industry boundaries. Companies such as Zeiss, Jenoptik, and Schott will be represented among more than 200 exhibitors and partners that will present their products to an expected 2,000+ visitors.

The W3+ Fair invites attendees back to Jena, Germany, for the second year. Visitors can expected to view over 200 exhibitors on the trade fair floor as well as experience a free accompanying conference with presenters from both companies and educational institutions. Courtesy of FLEET Events GmbH.
Over half of the exhibitors are from outside the region of Central Germany or from abroad from a total of 11 countries including Switzerland, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and the U.S. Nucleus — a joint initiative of the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena and the Friedrich Schiller University Jena — will be presenting the latest results of university research at the fair’s Campus Area.

Visitors will be able to attend the free accompanying conference “en-tech.talks,” which takes place parallel to the exhibition. Among the presenters are speakers from companies including Trumpf, Infineon, and Fisba, as well as representatives from organizations like the Fraunhofer Institute, Ernst Abbe University, and others. Topics from these institutions will include “High-tech from Central Germany,” “Quantum Future,” “Laser Fusion / PriFusio Funding Project,” “Photonics meet Microtechnology,” “Precision Manufacturing Technologies,” and others.
