Sivers Semiconductors Appoints President and CEO
Sivers Semiconductors AB, a supplier of integrated chips and photonics modules for advanced communications and sensor solutions, has appointed Vickram Vathulya president and CEO. Vathulya will succeed Anders Storm, effective Aug. 19. Vathulya has more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, most recently serving as president of Nuvotronics, a developer of millimeter-wave devices and packaging technology supporting the satellite communications, defense, and test and measurement sectors. Additionally, he formerly served in a variety of executive leadership roles at Maxim Integrated, including as vice president and general manager of core products.
Vathulya joins Sivers as the company works to gain market share in satellite communications, 5G, and photonics for artificial intelligence. During the first six months of 2024, the company began two major satellite communications projects worth $7.6 million, as well as a $1.3 million strategic collaboration on photonic chipsets for AI solutions. The company grew its revenue by 80% and has continued to see product revenue growth in the current year.
Storm announced his planned resignation as CEO this spring. He served as Sivers' CEO since 2016, and previously as the company’s COO, in 2015.
