Si2 Board Members Elected: People in the News: 7/10/24

Lightmatter, a photonic supercomputing company, has appointed Richard Beyer and Robin Washington to its board of directors. Beyer brings over three decades of previous executive leadership experience across the semiconductor and telecommunications industries, having previously served as CEO of Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. and Intersil Corporation, and currently sits on the board of directors for Micron Technology, Inc. Washington is a board member of Alphabet, Honeywell International, and Salesforce with prior experience as executive vice president and CFO of Gilead Sciences, Inc.

GARDNER, Mass. — Designer and manufacturer of medical and defense optical instruments Precision Optics Corporation, Inc. has added Clay Schwabe as its vice president of sales and marketing. Schwabe has more than fifteen years of experience in sales and marketing and has held leadership roles at Veranex, PRIA Healthcare, Vertiflex, and Medtronic.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Silicon Integration Initiative, Inc. (Si2), a research and development joint venture that advances design solutions of semiconductor manufacturers, foundries, fabless companies, and EDA software providers, has elected its board of directors. Pankaj Kukkal, executive vice president of microcontroller unit/microprocessor unit engineering for NXP Semiconductors has been reelected as Si2 board chair. Newly elected members include Niels Faché, vice president and general manager at Keysight; Juan C. Rey, vice president of government programs at Siemens; Hong Sok Choi, vice president of the computer aided engineering group at SK-hynix; and Lluis Paris, senior director, 3DFabric Alliance, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. Eleven other members were reelected including John Lee, general manager and vice president of the semiconductors and optics business unit at Ansys; Leon Stok, vice president of electronic design automation for IBM; and Richard Trihy, senior vice president of design and technology enablement at GlobalFoundries.
