Eclipse Surgical Signs Agreement with Health Trust

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 29 -- Eclipse Surgical Technologies Inc. will sell its transmyocardial revascularization technology laser products, supplies and services to participating members of the HealthTrust Purchasing Group. These products and services will be available over a three-year period according to the terms of the vendor agreement.
Eclipse Surgical Technologies' transmyocardial revascularization technology is a laser heart surgery treatment in which one-millimeter channels are created in the heart muscle in an attempt to reduce angina and improve the quality of life for patients suffering with advanced stage coronary artery disease.
HealthTrust Purchasing Group is a healthcare group purchasing organization with a current membership of more than 500 facilities including Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp., Triad Hospitals Inc., and LifePoint Hospitals Inc., and contracting volume totaling more than $3.3 billion.
