Lynred, a provider of infrared detectors, has appointed
Hervé Bouaziz as executive president and
Xavier Caillouet as CEO. Bouaziz has 30 years’ aerospace, defense, and security experience and previously served as CEO for Europrop International and held several executive positions at Safran. Caillouet comes to Lynred following a 30-year career in international roles within various Thales divisions, including vice president of radiology at Thales and CEO of Trixell.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Ayar has added
Ganesh Moorthy and
Craig Barratt to its board of directors and
Vladimir Stojanovic as its CTO. Moorthy currently serves as the president and CEO of Microchip Technology Inc. and is on the board for Semiconductor Industry Association. Barratt is the former CEO of Atheros and currently serves as chairman of Intuitive Surgical's board of directors. In addition to cofounding Ayar, Stojanovic also cofounded NanoSemi and previously served as professor of electrical engineering and computer sciences at the University of California, Berkeley.
CARDIFF, U.K. — Compound semiconductor wafer products supplier IQE has appointed
Jutta Meier as its CFO and to its board and
Rina Pal-Goetzen as vice president of government affairs. Meier is an experienced finance executive who has held senior positions at global semiconductor companies for more than 25 years, including Intel’s Foundry and GlobalFoundries Inc. Pal-Goetzen previously served as director of global policy at the Semiconductor Industry Association. In the new role, she will be charged with shaping IQE’s response to global geopolitics and government initiatives including the U.S. CHIPS Act, U.K. National Semiconductor Strategy, and the European Chips Act.

TORRANCE, Calif. — Luminit LLC, a manufacturer of holographic light shaping diffusers, has named
Jonathan Waldern as its CTO. Waldern has more than 20 years of developing and commercializing holographic, lithographic, and metamaterial-based products adding up to more than 170 patents. He served as CTO of MetaMaterials Inc. from 2020 to 2023.

Andreas Kolb as head of Sales EMEA. Kolb most recently served as the business development manager for Teledyne FLIR, as well as manager for sensor and vision solutions at LEONI Protec Cable Systems, and global key account manager at LEONI.
