Syntec Optics Inks Contracts Upon Public Listing Debut
Syntec Optics has received two major contracts — announced less than one week apart — for objectives for night-vision scopes and for ultraprecision biomedical optics. The awards follow Syntec’s merger with special-purpose acquisition company OmniLit Acquisition Corp., which resulted in Syntec becoming a publicly traded company earlier this month.
Syntec’s contract for 10,000 objectives for night-vision scopes calls for the objectives to be delivered in 2023. The recipient of the objectives was not disclosed. Syntec Optics previously announced the launch of new lightweight eyepiece and objective lenses for night-vision goggles, called Viper, which Syntec began manufacturing in volume last month. The technology uses a hybrid glass and polymer lens architecture to allow for lightweight, high-performance imaging solutions in both defense and consumer night-vision markets.
Announced details pertaining to a second contract call for Syntec to deliver at least 20 ultraprecision biomedical optics to an undisclosed recipient in 2023, and an additional 2400 optics in early 2024.
