Lanner Electronics, Landing AI Partner on Computer Vision Solution

Cloud-based computer vision provider Landing AI has formed a partnership with Lanner Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of intelligent edge appliances. The partners plan to demonstrate a bundled solution combining Lanner’s edge AI appliance LE-2290E and industrial AI vision inspection platform LandingLens. The end-to-end computer vision solution standardizes deep learning-based visual inspection, reducing development time for customers seeking to implement quality-inspection solutions in manufacturing and industrial applications.

The companies announced the partnership during the Automate Show in Detroit.

LEC-2290E provides an AI-optimized platform that accelerates performance for service providers to power AI-based video and data analytics for industrial edge applications, such as health care, transportation, and smart cities. LandingLens software uses deep learning AI technology to streamline the implementation of automated inspection systems, helping improve accuracy and reduce false accepts and false rejects in critical quality tasks such as defect or feature analysis and classification, and anomaly detection. Earlier this month, Landing AI announced the validation-ready version of its LandingLens platform. The offering is targeted at highly regulated industries such as the life sciences, drug making, and medical device manufacturing, and it aims to help them speed innovative processes, the company said.
