Former Hexagon CEO Added to GelSight Board: People in the News 05/17/23

Indigo Diabetes NV, a developer of a continuous metabolite monitoring device for people living with chronic diseases, named Arun Venkatasubramanian CTO. Venkatasubramanian has more than 15 years of experience leading the design and development of technology in the medical, consumer, and military sectors. Indigo’s continuous multi-metabolite monitoring sensor is a spectrometer-on-a-chip that monitors multiple metabolites in vivo. The company’s miniature integrated silicon photonics spectrometer chip measures the absorption of light in the interstitial fluid to quantify the concentration of multiple metabolites simultaneously without the use of enzymes or fluorophores.

REHOVOT, Israel — Quantum Source, a developer of photonic quantum computing technology, added former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to its board of directors. To date, Quantum Source has raised a $27 million seed round from Grove Ventures, Pitango First, Eclipse, Dell Technologies Capital, and 10D.

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Kopin Corp. appointed Iwan Dodd vice president of business development. Dodd joins Kopin from Gooch & Housego (G&H), where he was group vice president for North America and Canada business development and sales, aerospace and defense.

WALTHAM, Mass. — GelSight, a developer of tactile intelligence technology, appointed Angus Taylor to its board of directors. Taylor has over 25 years in senior leadership roles, primarily in advanced manufacturing software and technologies. Currently an executive management consultant, Taylor served as CEO of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence from 2008 to 2021.
