TOPTICA Acquires Azurlight Systems

TOPTICA Photonics AG has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the majority of shares of French fiber laser technology company Azurlight Systems SAS. Azurlight will continue its fiber laser business under the name TOPTICA Photonics SAS. Under the agreement, Nicholas Traynor, founder and president of Azurlight Systems, will serve as president of TOPTICA Photonics SAS. Juergen Stuhler, vice president of quantum technologies at TOPTICA Photonics AG, will become general manager of TOPTICA Photonics SAS. The companies have agreed to maintain confidentiality regarding the purchase price. The transaction is subject to the foreign direct investment approval by French authorities.
