Boston Dynamics, Velodyne Lidar Strike Multiyear Supply Agreement

Velodyne Lidar reached a multiyear agreement to supply lidar sensors for mobile robotics company Boston Dynamics. Boston Dynamics selected Velodyne’s sensors to provide perception and navigation capabilities for its mobile robots.

The technology provides power-efficient real-time 3D perception data for localization, mapping, object classification, and object tracking in a range of indoor and outdoor environments, including varying temperature, lighting, and precipitation.
