LASER World of PHOTONICS, automatica to Be Co-Located
Automatica, ordinarily occurring biannually, will be returning in 2023 to be co-located with LASER World of PHOTONICS. Both exhibitions will be held simultaneously for the first time June 27-30 in 2023. From there, the shows will occur simultaneously every two years, organizers of LASER World of PHOTONICS announced.
“A co-located automatica is a perfect complement to LASER,” said Wilhelm Kaenders, chairman of the LASER World of PHOTONICS exhibitor advisory board and member of the board at TOPTICA Photonics AG. “Automation components such as robots, machine vision systems, and the like are particularly important in the sector of laser systems for production engineering. Optical metrology is another field in which the solutions presented at both exhibitions mesh like gears. This makes for advantageous co-location and creates a catalyst for innovation.”

LASER World of PHOTONICS returned to an in-person format this year. The event, held in April, hosted more than 900 exhibitors from over 30 countries. The showcase also debuted the World of QUANTUM, an area of the show that organizers indicated they will host once again under the LASER World of PHOTONICS umbrella for 2023.
Co-locating the exhibitions requires a one-time exception in automatica’s usual two-year cycle. This year’s automatica show kicked off Tuesday, June 21.
