Hastie Named Director of Strathclyde’s Institute of Photonics: People in the News: 05/11/22
The University of Strathclyde appointed
Jennifer Hastie as director of its Institute of Photonics. Hastie was previously the institute’s deputy director and has worked there since joining as a doctoral student in 2000. She succeeds Keith Mathieson, Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies at Strathclyde. Hastie will be supported in the new post by deputy director Nicolas Laurand
and director of research

CORK, Ireland —
Denis Doyle was appointed chair of the board at Tyndall National Institute. He will lead the board’s oversight of the future development and expansion of Ireland’s flagship research institute in integrated information communications technology hardware and systems at University College Cork. Doyle previously served in various roles at Analog Devices International, including as vice president and general manager of U.S. and Irish manufacturing operations.
BOULDER, Colo. — ColdQuanta, a developer and manufacturer of instruments and systems for quantum technologies applications, named
Neil Anderson general manager of quantum components. Anderson will be responsible for defining and executing strategy related to the company’s portfolio of quantum devices and machines. Anderson is taking over leadership of the division from interim general manager Sandi Mays.

Hans-Dieter Schumacher, CFO of JENOPTIK AG, will leave the company at the expiration of his current executive board contract in March 2023. Schumacher joined the company as CFO in April 2015, having previously served at HOMAG Group. Before that he served as CFO of construction material manufacturer Sto AG.

Mark Weinswig CFO. He succeeds Drew Hamer, who will transition from the company in advance of pursuing career opportunities later this year. Weinswig has more than 25 years of strategic and operational experience in technology companies.
