Torsten Nolting now serves as head of ABB’s electrification business area in Germany. He assumed the role Aug. 1, succeeding
Uwe Laudenklos, who became lead business area manager for northern and central Europe on April 1. Nolting has worked for ABB and its subsidiary Busch-Jaeger Elektro since 1991. He served as head of international sales for Busch-Jaeger starting in 2007.

LAFAYETTE, Colo. —
Warren Smith will join Insight LiDAR’s management team in the newly created position of director of perception. Smith will work with the company’s partners to integrate Insight LiDAR’s technology into their autonomy software, and with the company’s core development team to hone the chip-scale platform to meet the needs of key partners. Smith previously held positions at Uber Advanced Technologies and Aurora Innovation.
GLASGOW, Scotland — Vector Photonics named
Connor Munro to be process development engineer. Munro has experience with industrial wafer processing and high-volume manufacturing with experience of FP, DFB, and VCSEL production across a range of compound semiconductor systems, including AlGaInP, GaAs, GaSb, GaN, and InP. Most recently, Munro served as a research assistant at the University of Glasgow, and he previously served as a process engineer at Sivers Photonics.

Daniel Chu vice president of marketing and business development. Chu has extensive experience in product management, applications engineering, and business creation. He has served at OSRAM and SDL Inc.
