A3 Vision Week, June 8-10, to Emphasize Case Studies, Emerging Applications and Solutions
Cutting-edge technologies, new applications, and ideas for the future from industry-leading companies fill the agenda of A3 Vision Week 2021, hosted by the Association for Advancing Automation. The three-day, online conference starts June 8 at 9 a.m. EDT and runs through June 10 at 5 p.m. EDT. It
will feature presentations from more than 30 industry experts, with an emphasis on case studies and end-to-end vision and imaging solutions. Advances in sensors, vision-guided robotics, and AI-enabled vision also will be covered.
Representatives from FedEx, Amazon, Intel, and more will deliver keynote and regular program sessions, along with those from leading industry companies and institutions. Presentation topics include 4D vision, fixed scanning, standards updates, large field-of-view applications, and bin-picking. Attendees will have the chance to connect with industry-leading vision and technology companies through the virtual Sponsor Showcase, and virtual booths will be open for product demos and informational videos. The show’s multiday agenda includes designated time slots for networking opportunities, though attendees will be able to visit booths all day.
“A3 Vision Week is the best opportunity for companies in every industry to get insight to their processes, their data, and to learn how advances in vision technologies will increase productivity and improve product quality,” said Jeff Burnstein, A3 president, in a press release. “The speakers we have during A3 Vision Week will demonstrate how vision and imaging are critical components to a complete automation solution.”
The keynote roundtable “Vision & Sensing in Logistics and E-Commerce,” with speakers Aaron Prather of FedEx, Erik Nieves of Plus One Robotics, and Carl Gerst of Cognex, kicks off the event’s first day. A keynote from Anant Patel of Amazon on the use of computer vision in automated quality inspection will follow.
Wednesday, June 9’s keynotes will also begin with a roundtable, “Intelligent Vision: Machine Learning, AI, and the Factory of the Future.” Stacey Shulman of Intel will then present the keynote “How Machine Vision Applications Are Advancing AI in Medical Imaging.”
The final keynote of the conference will look at horizonal topics in the field of machine vision and automation in a roundtable discussion titled “The Future of Vision and Imaging” on June 10 at 10 a.m. EDT.
A3 expects over 2000 attendees to participate in A3 Vision Week, including users of vision and imaging technologies, system integrators, machine builders, OEMs, and manufacturers of imaging technology, collaborative robots, drones, augmented reality systems, and more.
