EMVA Elects Board
The general assembly of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) elected its nine-member board of directors for the upcoming three-year term. The board will consist of Arnaud Destruels, Sony Europe BV; Arndt Bake, Basler; Bernd Jähne, Heidelberg Collaboratory for Image Processing of Heidelberg University; Chris Yates, Vision Ventures; Christoph Garbe, HD Vision Systems; Dirk Berndt, Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operations and Automation IFF; Kai-Udo Modrich, ZEISS Inline Inspection & Metrology; Marco Diani, iMAGE S; and Ronald Mueller, Vision Markets.
The newly elected board will have its constituent in-person meeting as soon as possible, and by then vote on the roles of EMVA president, vice president, and treasurer, according to an EMVA press release.
Gabriele Jansen, a founding member of EMVA and board member since 2003, did not seek another term. Also stepping down from the EMVA board are Jochem Hermman, EMVA president 2015 to 2019; Jean Carron, EMVA board member and treasurer from 2015 to 2021; and Michel Ollivier, who served as EMVA vice president from 2015 to 2021.
