Rovco Spinoff Vaarst Launches

Vaarst, a marine robotics company and spinoff from hydrographic survey company Rovco, has officially launched. The new company, helmed by Rovco CEO Brian Allen, is focused on accelerating advancements in ocean robotics.

“Autonomous robotics are the key to reducing the cost of offshore operations. At the same time, digitalization of field assets is essential as the industry evolves. Marrying these two concepts is needed to realize the real benefit of modern tech,” Allen said.

The company will provide technologies such as the SubSLAM X2, an intelligent data collection system that delivers robotic spatial awareness and live 3D point clouds to any capable device around the world.
