SPIE Moves Photonics West and Meetings to Virtual Formats
SPIE has announced it is transitioning all of its scheduled meetings through March 2021 to an online format. The events include Photonics West; BiOS, AR/VR/MR; Medical Imaging; Advanced Lithography; and Smart Structures/NDE.
SPIE CEO Kent Rochford made the announcement in an email to prospective show attendees.
The organization will offer each meeting as SPIE Digital Forums — virtual and interactive events that feature live plenary talks; on-demand technical presentations and discussions; online networking and special events; product demonstrations; and connections with exhibitors via the digital marketplace.
For authors, presenters, and exhibitors, specific instructions with next steps and how to prepare for the digital forum will follow from SPIE staff via email in the next few days, and will be published on the respective event websites, Rochford said. Registration and pricing information will be available soon.
The dates for Photonics West are a Digital Forum, from March 6-11; the opening of registration, in January; and a free online preview, from Jan. 25-28.
