Laser Systems Developer Fotona Purchases A.R.C. Laser’s Dental Division

Fotona d.o.o. has acquired A.R.C. Laser GmbH’s dental division. The acquisition encompasses Fotona’s purchase of the Fox III and Fox IV laser systems, as well as the EmunDo photothermal therapy (PTT) system and all A.R.C. medical specialties, including dentistry, with the exceptions of ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and veterinary applications.

The Fox technology represents a line of diode lasers operating at 455-, 810-, 980-, and 1064-nm wavelengths. The systems have application in surgical, periodontal, and low-level laser therapy (LLLT) procedures. The EmunDo system is designed for use in conjunction with Fox technology.
