ZEISS Partners with Perseus Biomics
ZEISS has partnered with microbiome analytics firm Perseus Biomics to develop an optical technology for microbiome research, specifically the quantitative analysis of the microbiome.
The companies will draw upon their respective expertise in optics and photonics and will use ZEISS’ existing solutions, particularly in quality measuring technology.
“The microbiome is a field of strong research interest with the potential to fundamentally change our understanding of living systems,” said Gerrit Schulte, head of ZEISS Ventures. “It has substantial implications for medicine, agriculture, and other areas.”
Details of the partnership were not disclosed.
