Vertex Optics Celebrates Grand Opening of 8500-sq-ft Facility

Vertex Optics is celebrating the grand opening of its 8500-sq-ft manufacturing facility in Victor, N.Y.

The facility is equipped with ultrasonic CNC, a five-axis optical machine capable of producing high-precision components made from brittle materials such as glass, crystals, and ceramics. The facility also has an in-house machine shop that allows its team to build the tools needed for optical fabrication projects. Vertex’s metrology solutions include vertical interferometry and a multisensor Zeiss Acura CMM machine. The company specializes in the manufacturing of complex optical components such as plano optics, spherical and aspherical lenses, cylinders/acylinders, freeforms, and more.

The company will host tours of the facility, which opened its doors in January, on Oct. 16 from 1 to 8 p.m. The event, dubbed Optoberfest, coincides with SPIE’s Optifab conference, at which Vertex will be exhibiting at booth 414.
