Precision Optical Recognized
Optical manufacturer Precision Optical has been recognized as a small business that made a significant contribution to Lockheed Martin's missiles and fire control business area in 2018.
Precision Optical was one of 27 companies honored by Lockheed Martin for helping to deliver important missions to Lockheed Martin customers.
“Our small business suppliers are critical members of our industry team, enabling production of the most advanced technologies for our customers and allies,” said Brian Kubik, vice president of global supply chain at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
Precision Optical was founded in 1959 by Chester and Ruth Berry. Chester contributed to notable projects during the 1940s and 50s, including the manufacture of large mirrors for the Palomar Observatory in San Diego County, Calif.
For more than 20 years, Lockheed Martin has celebrated the successful efforts of small business suppliers in providing quality goods and services and outstanding support.
