ZEISS, Microsoft Bring Real-Time Data to Production Line
ZEISS has developed a data-sharing and spectroscopy measurement solution that uploads to the cloud real-time production data and analysis using Microsoft Azure and resulting in connected factories.
ZEISS teamed with Microsoft to develop a unique spectroscopic solution that gives customers insights and information about food-quality parameters such as fat, moisture, and salt content in their products. This is achieved by mounting a ZEISS Corona process spectrometer directly on the production line, providing constant and accurate measurement, and feeding this data into Microsoft’s cloud platform, Azure.
ZEISS has developed a cloud-connected spectroscopy solution based on Microsoft Azure, sharing real-time data from the production line.
This cloud-based solution makes monitoring processes such as food production easy and convenient for clients, who can access data and make adjustments to production in real time and from just about anywhere providing results in seconds as opposed to several minutes or hours.
The ability to make adjustments in seconds increases the quality of the product and delivers consistent results every time, ZEISS officials said.
