Photoneo Opening New U.S. Branch for Its 3D Vision Technology
Photoneo, a developer and provider of 3D vision systems for advancing automation, is opening a new location in Boston (Cambridge), Mass. The move is part of the company’s overall growth strategy and will provide local support to U.S. clients.
“There is a big traction on the market and we can see that our customers appreciate our approach and solutions,” said Photoneo’s vice president of sales and marketing, Branislav Puliš. “We are opening a new branch in North America so that we can handle our U.S. customers directly.”
Photoneo has begun selling engineering samples of its flagship product, MotionCam-3D, a high-resolution/accuracy 3D camera for scanning in rapid motion. The camera has won industry awards for its unique combination of features and patented “parallel structured light” technology.
“We develop eyes and a brain for robots and believe that the results of these efforts may be the next step in the Industrial Revolution, whereby robots, through hardware and software solutions, will be able to understand their environment,” Puliš said.
Photoneo is exhibiting at the Automate Show 2019 at McCormick Place, Chicago, for the first time, from April 8-11 in booth #8168. Products and technologies exhibited will include the MotionCam-3D and 3D vision-based solutions, plus a bin-picking demo cell.
