Berliner Glas Expands Berlin HQ, Adds Staff

The Berliner Glas Group completed a €30 million ($34 million) expansion of its production area and associated capacities at its Berlin site.

The production area rose to 31,780 sq m, and 87 employees joined the facility, providing a total of 891 personnel. Cleanroom space has also been expanded for its medical application business unit. The larger space; investment in production processes, machines, and personnel; and the optimization of the optics production chain have enabled this production capacity increase.

Berliner Glas develops and produces large-format cylinder lenses and mirrors, fiber optics, laser optics and systems, reference mirrors, and stage modules.
