Swain Joins Jenoptik’s Silicon Valley Application Center

Optical systems developer Jenoptik has appointed Robin Swain senior director of the Silicon Valley Application Center.

Swain will lead the company’s applications center in Fremont, Calif., and be responsible for developing and executing new business strategies to accelerate Jenoptik’s growth.

Swain brings more than 29 years of experience in the photonics industry. Most recently, he served as general manager of the integrated solutions business unit at MKS Instruments. Previously, he served as the senior director of engineering and vice president of engineering at the Technical Solutions Group and had other roles at Newport, Western Digital Corp., and Phase Metrics Corp.

Jenoptik is a developer of optical and micro-optical systems.
