Lexel to Obtain Part of Imaging and Sensing Technology

ATLANTA, May 18 -- Lexel Imaging Systems has announced its plans to acquire Imaging and Sensing Technology's Electro Optical (EO) division based in Horseheads, NY. Included in the transaction is the EO division's wholly owned subsidiary CRT Scientific Corp. of Van Nuys, California, whose products include specialty cathode-ray tubes and armored vehicle displays. Lexel Imaging is a wholly owned subsidiary of Video Display Corp.
The EO division brings with it over 40 years of experience designing cathode ray tubes. Lexel will use the experience of the EO division to enhance its own facilities in Lexington, Ky., where products such as Heads-Up, Heads-Down, Helmet and a variety of other displays used for military, industrial and medical applications are manufactured.
