Zecri Appointed GM of Sofradir EC

IR detector developer Sofradir EC Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the Sofradir Group, has appointed Michel Zecri as its general manager.

Zecri, in this internal promotion, brings technical expertise in IR technologies, operational management and the U.S. market. He will be responsible for driving growth opportunities for the company and providing local support to U.S. customers seeking to expand equipment sales abroad.

Zecri began his career at Sofradir as a design manager in 2007. Three years later, he became head of the design departments where he led teams in developing the industry’s first video format longwave IR detector. He was then promoted to vice president of operations, quality and audits in 2014. In 2016, Zecri was named vice president of industrial operations at Sofradir’s Palaiseau site. Previously, he worked at Freescale Semiconductor Inc. and Motorola. He holds an executive MBA from the Emlyon Business School, a Ph.D. from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse – ENSEEIHT and an engineering degree from Aix-Marseille University.

Sofradir EC develops and manufactures advanced thermal imaging engines based on both cooled and uncooled IR detectors.
