Fun Awaits in San Francisco (Video)

Whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or a technology enthusiast, the diverse culture of San Francisco is the place to be! This city by the bay is home to some of the world’s most popular attractions — from its numerous museums to the infamous Alcatraz Island.

The award-winning Yerba Buena Gardens feature public art, a children’s creativity museum, and open public space for community and cultural events. Golden Gate Park is another outdoor treasure, offering more than a thousand acres of green lawns and forest areas, bike paths, areas to stroll, lakes and gardens. San Francisco is also home to the de Young Museum, which showcases art from the 17th through 21st centuries, and the Cable Car Museum brings visitors into the past with its displays of the huge engines and winding wheels that have pulled the cables for the city’s famous trams, as well as antique cable cars from the 1870s. The Legion of Honor offers a commemoration of Californian solders who perished in World War one, and also on display there is a collection of more than 4,000 years of ancient, European and Jewish art.

And some fun for all ages awaits at the San Francisco Zoo and Gardens. Known as a historic treasure, it houses 1,000 endangered and rescued animals representing 250 species, and offers educational programs, talks and other events, all within 100 acres of peaceful gardens.

These attractions and landmarks offer only a taste of what there is to do in this grand city, so get out there and explore!
