DOE Announces Technologist in Residence Program
The United States Department of Energy (DOE) has announced the second round of funding for its Technologist in Residence program, providing up to $2.3 million to support collaboration between national laboratories and manufacturers.
The relationship lasts for up to two years, addressing identified challenges in industry-relevant technologies such as advanced controls in smart manufacturing and R&D, enhancing clean energy manufacturing or reducing energy intensity.
In addition, a council of technologists will function as a network across the national lab system to promote lab resources and help form partnerships. The council will also provide feedback for best practices or relationship building.
