E-TEK to Provide Optical Sub-Systems to ONI Systems

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 11 -- E-TEK Dynamics Inc. has signed a multi-year agreement to supply fiber optic communications sub-systems to San Jose, Calif.-based ONI Systems Corp. According to E-TEK, its sub-systems will provide ONI's Online product line with wideband and dense wavelength division multiplexing, restoration and power monitoring capabilities.
The agreement calls for E-TEK to provide four sub-systems for ONI's Online9000 and Online7000 optical hardware platforms, which have been engineered for the metro and access network markets.
