Solid State Supplies to Distribute Luminus LED Technology in UK

Solid State Supplies has reached a franchise distribution agreement for the U.K. with Luminus Devices Inc., a global manufacturer of LEDs headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Luminus develops and markets solid-state lighting to enable application migration from conventional lamp technologies to longer-lived, more energy-efficient LED illumination. It offers a range of LEDs for general lighting markets, as well as high-output specialty lighting for performance-driven markets such as consumer displays, entertainment lighting and medical applications.

"These highly versatile light source products and technologies from Luminus are a significant addition to our portfolio, and will enable us to address an increased number of important applications."

Solid State Supplies' products are focused on two main areas: embedded processing and connectivity (wired and wireless), and power semiconductors and modules. The company serves electronic equipment designers and manufacturers in military and aerospace, industrial, and medical electronic equipment markets.
