PCO, Raytheon to Develop Sensors for Polish Military
PCO SA, a manufacturer of optoelectronic devices and laser systems, has partnered with the American defense contractor Raytheon Co. to develop surveillance and sensor devices for the Polish military.
Their work will focus on enhanced night vision goggles; advanced reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting devices; and IR systems development.
"Raytheon and PCO are well-positioned to develop advanced night vision for both the Polish armed forces and global requirements," said Duane Gooden, vice president of Raytheon's Land Warfare Systems product line.
Earlier this year, Raytheon Missile Systems partnered with Mesko SA, an ammunition manufacturer, to pursue opportunities for Poland’s air defense architecture and advanced defense technologies.
PCO SA manufactures a range of night vision goggles and monoculars, aviator's goggles, and thermovision binoculars, as well as day-night and night vision aiming sights, collimator sights, periscopes for various armored vehicles, and laser rangefinders.
Headquartered in Waltham, Mass., Raytheon provides electronics, mission systems integration and other capabilities in the areas of sensing, effects, command, control, communications and intelligence.
