Optics Golf Tournament Recognized by Rochester Children's Hospital

A patient room in the Golisano Children’s Hospital at University of Rochester Medical Center has been named in honor of the WNY Optics/Photonics Golf Tournament, an annual charity event.

Dedication will take place on May 27 at the official opening of the new hospital.

Fifty-eight golfers from the western New York optics community took part in the first tournament in 2000. Since then the event has grown to include more than 300 participants from around the world. It has raised a total of $200,000 to benefit the hospital.

This year’s tournament will be July 16 at the Shadow Lake and Shadow Pines golf clubs in Penfield, N.Y. For more information, email wnyoptics@rochester.rr.com.
