Spectronics Promotes Four, Hires Foreign Sales Manager
Spectronics Corp., a manufacturer of UV equipment and fluorescent materials, recently promoted four employees and hired a new international sales manager.
Limin Chen has been named vice president of manufacturing and special projects.
He began his career at Spectronics in 1993 as a mechanical product development engineer, and has been the lead engineer for the Pipe Freezer, UV EPROM/Wafer Eraser and Grid Lamp products for more than 10 years.
He has an associate’s degree in manufacturing, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration.
As general manager of operations, Daniel Cooper will oversee prototype design, R&D, marketing, quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
Cooper joined Spectronics 10 years ago as a temporary employee in the quality control department and has served in various positions within the company. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Loyola University and lives in New York City.
Meanwhile, Michael C. Fleming has been promoted to director of product management, where he will seek out new markets and oversee development of UV and LED technology.
He joined Spectronics 19 years ago as a sales application engineer for the AC&R and Pipe Freezer divisions, eventually moving on to become product manager and national sales manager.
He has a bachelor’s degree in applied physics from the State University of New York College at Geneseo.
As technical sales and regulatory compliance specialist, Daniel Chusid, will be responsible for maintaining legal and regulatory compliance for the company. He has expertise on current standards, industry best practices, regulatory requirements and company policies. In addition to his regulatory compliance duties, he will also respond to technical application inquiries from sales representatives, distributors and end users.
Chusid has a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany and a law degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
Daniel Tristan has been hired as international sales manager for Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region.
Tristan has bachelor's degrees in international economics and Spanish from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Spectronics develops UV lamps and radiometers used in structural integrity testing of military and commercial aircraft and in biomedical applications, as well as fluorescent dyes used in leak detection at energy and industrial facilities.
