Sheaumann Laser Acquires Axcel Photonics

Sheaumann Laser Inc. has acquired Axcel Photonics Inc. Details of the transaction between the privately held companies were not disclosed.

Axcel President and Chief Technology Officer John Sousa has been named president of the merged companies.

Sheaumann develops custom diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS), flash lamp and fiber-coupled laser modules. Axcel makes semiconductor lasers for use in industrial, medical, military and aerospace applications.
