ON Semiconductor Acquires Aptina Imaging

ON Semiconductor has acquired Aptina Imaging for $400 million in a push to expand its image sensor business.

Aptina manufactures CMOS image sensors for the automotive and industrial markets, which are a strategic focus of ON. Aptina also features products such as cameras, mobile devices, computing and gaming for other industries.
