Jenoptik Makes Inroads in Netherlands

Optoelectronics manufacturer Jenoptik Traffic Solutions recently acquired Robot Nederland BV, a traffic monitoring firm in the Netherlands. The purchase price was not disclosed.

In addition, Jenoptik received an order from the Dutch Central Judicial Collection Agency for 80 stationary TraffiStar S290F and SR290F systems for speed and red-light monitoring. The systems can record approaching and departing traffic, create high-resolution images of the vehicles and distinguish between the various vehicle categories. The order volume is in the single-digit million euro range and should be fulfilled in early 2015, the company said.
