ON Semiconductor Acquires Truesense Imaging

ON Semiconductor will acquire Truesense Imaging Inc. for $92 million.

Truesense Imaging will be incorporated into ON Semiconductor’s Application Products Group. The merger will expand ON’s existing technology portfolio and add more than 200 new customers to its base.

“The pending acquisition … is a step toward our stated strategic goal of expanding our presence in select segments of the industrial end-market,” said Keith Jackson, president and CEO of ON Semiconductor. “We will augment our abilities to deliver a broad range of high-performance image sensors.”

The acquisition brings Truesense Imaging’s four decades of experience in the industry.
