IDS Appoints UK Sales Director IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH of Obersulm, Germany, has named machine vision market veteran Steve Hearn as its new UK sales director, the industrial camera maker said. Hearn has more than 30 years of experience in the camera and machine vision markets, most recently as head of UK sales and product manager for IDS cameras at Stemmer Imaging UK. He has also held management positions at Pulnix and Sony, and he spent the first 10 years of his career as a radar and CCTV engineer in the Royal Navy. Hearn will be based near Reading, England.
